It had taken some time to come to grips with what had happened. Despite how many days it had been, he could still feel every motion and touch that they had shared. Yet he couldn't help but feel twisted up inside despite how good it felt in the moment. There was worry that he may have done this with her too fast, that he had sacrificed something just to be that close to her.

Then there was the other issue on his mind. The fact that his other little witch from the swamps had suddenly gone missing. Cyrus had tried tracking her down a few times, only finding the scent trail of blood but nothing else. It was like she just vanished into thin air. What ever the cause, it was clear that he needed to move on.

Besides, he had never really claimed her any way. Then why did it feel so horrible that she was gone? Did he simply want the best of two worlds? Cyrus pondered all of this on a cold but somewhat sunny morning. The golden wolf was laying on his favorite sunning rocks as the snow began to fall. Not that it would stay snowing for very long most likely, with the sun continuing to beat down on this early part of the day. Long legs stretched out in a tired fashion, eyes closed as he basked in the warm rays of the sun.

Nearby the smell of a smaller kill he had made earlier was half eaten and stored in a secret cache for himself. It had been a little more difficult as of late to find big game in this area for the pack. Perhaps he just needed to seek them out a bit farther from his usual stomping grounds. It certainly was a thought. Cyrus continued to try and shut down the thoughts that harbored his aching mind, all the while trying to relax his body for what ever might come next.
