Brynhild hadn't been sure where she was, the wintery air was mixed with a dew of the early morning. The sun just rising at the horizon, painting the sky gorgeous oranges that reflected beautifully off the ice that stood below her, standing tall atop a large mound of snow. A soft breath escaped her, she liked this area, it was peaceful yet lively with prey. Soon, the gorgeous sun was shrouded with clouds, blocking it's soft rays of warmth.

Although the cold settled deeper into her bones, Brynhild gazed around. Tail swishing lowly until her eyes caught sight of a small snowshoe hare bouncing through the snow. Scavenging for something small to eat, a simple snack. She hadn't eaten much recently, small left alone carcasses or scraps from other wolves hunts here and there. Brynhild wasn't even sure if she could catch the tiny creature, they were oddly fast little buggers.

With a hint of hesitance, Brynhild leapt from her spot and took chase. Sprinting after the hare, kicking up snow in a plume behind her, having little experience running across tundra like lands, she wasn't careful on her path at all. Leaping and dodging anything that suddenly appeared from the snow, to others, she looked manic, snapping her teeth wildly at the little cotton tail just a tail length infront of her face.

"Come..here you little rodent! Circle of life, stuff i don't know!"

Brynhild was quick, but not quick enough. The hare managed to slip just out of her reach, down into a burrow below the snow that she could not fit into even if she tried her hardest. Not even a limb could get into it, having an awkward bend in the tunnel. With a heavy huff, and now cold paws, she turned her gaze upwards and took a heavy breath in, and suddenly, her body froze.

It couldn't be her..right? Ylva wasn't here, she hadn't smelt her at all, but this was her. A distinct scent of sweet herbs that was soothing to the mind and soul, one that she often drowned herself in when her mind was troubled. A hint of unease wrecked her entire body, limbs beginning to move on their own, if it truly was her, the wolf she dedicated her life too, Brynhild had to find her. Make sure she was okay, that she was safe and sound from the manic wolves in these lands.
