Aika! <3<3 (gonna backdate this to 1/29)
The cool winds carried from the seaside ceased slowly over the following week. Replaced by a familiar warmth one couldn’t mistake for just a fluke. By the grace of the gods, winter was slowly coming to an end and soon would the weather that kept her locked south. Once the snow storms up north calmed and the cold sheathed it’s teeth, the Empress would make a trip up north to continue her journey. Until then, she would stay close to the dynasty and witness the flowers bloom.
Her trip within the woodlands was cut short by the afternoon, as she’d usually be coming back by dusk. There was not much to hunt that day other than the snow hare she’d carried back in her maw, and since the cache was in desperate need of a restock she didn’t have time to get away with dilly dallying. The crane returned by sea before hightide rose above the boulders – yet still returned to the shores with soaked ankles.
The measly hare she retrieved wasn’t much, but it was something, at least, until more prey came…
