He'd had a weird dream, of being lifted up, cradled, staring into a blank human face....at least, he thought it was human. An old memory, perhaps, from when he was a cub, from when he was still cute and safe enough for his old masters to treat him like a pet. But as all things do, he had grown, he had become too dangerous to be had in the palace walls. From pet, to executioner, in the blink of an eye.
But he was small, in the dream, being brushed....molded. Soothed and coddled like all those years ago....
and the tiger wakes
He was slow to rise, bit by bit returning to the waking world.
Overnight, he had been covered in snow apparently, but it was warm even so, comfortable even with the way it bounced his body heat back at him. But he had a job to do, getting Raisa to Northfall and the tourney safely, so the sentinel stretched out and aimed to break the snow cover.
....
That was...a lot more snow than he had expected. Carnifex opened his eyes and looked around his little snow den, his paws pressing deeper into the wall that shouldn't be this thick. Pulling his paws back and moving to stand, he found his head hitting the roof.
Letting out a huff of frustration, he started digging....and digging.
Until finally, he was out, after digging for 8 feet.
The lion tiger pulled himself out of his tunnel, looking around wildly at his surroundings, the poor man was high up on the mountain and far from where he had fallen asleep the night prior. Unaware, that it's been days since then.
Unaware, that he was in a new body.
Sovereign? He called, spinning in place as he looked for anyone, spotting a few wolves dotted along further down the mountain.
Raisa?he called out, his deep voice sounding louder than he had intended as he started his treck downward towards the activity. How the hell had he gotten all the way up here?
