He could almost feel music in the air, a half remembered melody stuck in his head as he patrolled the spine, eyes scanning the horizon as he sniffed at the air...pausing for a moment, when the scent of fresh grass hit his nose. Looking down, he raised an eyebrow at the magical path before him before snorting out a laugh. What in the world... he was no stranger to strange magics, even if he doesn't remember all of them, so after another look about on the border he finally started following the path.

As he followed down the path, the trees he's grown to know turn darker, pinker, the smell of them in the air tugging at his heart and leaving him yearning for something. For what? A glimpse into a former life? Somewhere, deep down, the scent reminds him of someone long...long ago, and he hates that feeling. It bubbles in his gut as he walked, the trees growing closer together so that they blocked the outer world entirely.

There's a slight wind, leaving sprinkles of pink petals floating down slowly, following him towards the end of the tunnel leading outward.....
