The power of the world grew stronger ... and the door to the Other-Side felt closer than ever. The Blood Moon threatened on the horizon, the dim ruby light of the sky growing in intensity with every moment. It was only once a month that a full moon would draw power from the earth, seeding it into the unknown ... but this month was particularly unusual.
A full Blood Moon — and a lunar eclipse.
Not only was the energy strong, it was chaotic as well, practically vibrating the very air as she strode through the crimson light toward the Rise. This area in particular called to her. Perhaps it was because of the strange alignment of the rocks, shattered in such a way that was so strange it almost seemed intentional.
In her jaws she held clear quartz and amethyst, and it was with intention that she strode toward the rise, seeking a flattened rock that she knew would hold a small pool of water and melted snow.
But it would seem she was not alone out here ... not the only one aiming to bask in the otherworldly energy of the eclipse. Her eyes would find him, roving over his crimson coat as she neared her own pedestal. The slender woman would leap upward onto the adjacent stone, finally peeling her eyes from the stranger before placing her crystals in the small pool. She would blink, only once, eyeing the way the red glow swam through the water and wrapped around the crystals she'd placed there.
And then her ears would flick, gaze side-shifting toward her company in a way to remain alert.
And then she would shift her eyes toward the sky.
