Lavender eyes flick from the pelt to the God-King, her questions dying in her throat. She doesn't need to know. If he wants to tell her, he will, but she is nothing to him save another face in the crowd. She knows her place, and takes up as little of it as possible. To be a burden is the greatest sin.
And would speaking to him of the dream be making herself heavy?
"I dreamed of water thicker than blood." It's the only way she can describe it, how heavy the water felt. "It burned through my skin. It ate away my fur. I stared out at the valleys above the surface and burned to nothing." She remembers it being absolutely quiet. The noise drowned out by the water in her ears. "On the shores, wolves I've never seen dying, and our clan as well."
Speaking it aloud makes it seem foolish. Her eyes drop. "It could be nothing. It seems nothing now that I'm saying it. Sorry. I mean not to bother you."
