Everything kept changing—everything. From the absence of his father and the loss of their former home, nothing was the same anymore—and whether it was for better or worse, Lugh entirely neglected such changes in favor of the shift in the nature around them.

Frost-laden fields transformed into lush meadows beneath the spring warmth. It was still cool, with brisk winds whipping at his coat and caressing the foliage underfoot, yet the frigid, unbearably cold weather had all been driven away by the sun, the golden rays that it cast upon the earth.

Not only were it the changes from the seasons which happened all too fast; Lugh's limbs were suddenly very long; taller than Ma, maybe even getting close to Da's height—alas, he was not around for a comparison.

It was strange to have to look down to talk to Ma. It felt... wrong, in a way.

Perhaps it was bound to happen at one point or another, even if they'd remained humans. Epona wasn't exactly the tallest.

Thought after thought, lubricating the gears of his head as he fought to process the changes; he was starting to grow jaded to it all. He could live without Da, as much as he didn't want to. And being a wolf wasn't so bad—he wouldn't be able to frolic on all fours as a human toddler. And it wasn't all so bad, either.

Now he could meet Shiloh. Beibhinn—Fable. His nieces, many of whom were... interesting to say the least.

A long sigh left Lugh's lips as he nestled his back closer against the earthen ground. The scarlet-touched grass tickled his coat as he basked in the sun's light, a simple yet somehow effective distraction from the endless stream of consciousness that weighed on his emotions.

Maybe he could use some rest. He'd been staying out and exploring later and later into the night—he didn't realize how tired he was until now, as he lay against the sun-kissed fields.
