Verbena wasn't entirely sure how they had gotten here, but now she was hearing the voices too.
Feeling the pull that Pennyroyal was feeling.
Though for her it was less..obsessive, she had to keep the two of them alive after all, has been feeding the two of them for over a month while they're constantly on the move and she's tired. A few days to rest, that's all she would need, to press her head into Fleetwood or Nemean and just let the tension melt away. Get told she's been doing a good job, that they're proud of her for keeping Penny alive that she hasn't given in to the urge to kill him.
But they had a task to complete, and maybe then he'd settle down and let Verbena lead them home, or close to it given how home wasn't...safe. Maybe they could find where their uncle went, Avon, that wasn't that far was it?
There was an older man here too, seemingly led by the same pull, with his own rune. The not quite yearling looked at him with suspicion as the siblings moved to put their own rune on the table.
