She nosed the vibrant-petaled flora with happiness glowing in her big, golden eyes. So many to sniff, to look at! How exciting! She gingerly picked the plants, holding them in a small bundle between her jaws.
She stopped short, however, when a strange face appeared suddenly before her. 'Hello!' Her head tilted in surprise. Who was this? She'd never met them before—and she smelled nothing like Mama or Papa. 'Are ye here for th' party?' Party! Eidel giggled, her tail whisking swiftly behind her.

Party, party...She mumbled thoughtfully (or, as thoughtfully as a toddler could think). The tongue still felt odd in her mouth as she spoke.
