A place of extraordinary mystery, in the middle of a vast lake sits an island. No ordinary patch of land, this island holds what some call the World Tree - far larger than any can imagine, it towers out from a dense fog and seems to have a pull of its own, inviting those who see it to utter long-unspoken prayers. At the base of this tree is a small hollow, wherein two skeletal bodies lay entwined in an everlasting embrace, overgrown with flowers and ivy as the earth slowly takes them. None can stay too long, however, almost as if it curses those who loiter; conjuring strange apparitions and turning local wildlife hostile toward any who might linger past their welcome. This place is unclaimable, but its purpose is truly magical in nature.

It was a horrible thing, to watch a loved one go through such pain; such agony in her heart. Apricot could feel the weight of the world come crashing down as she leaned against him. Her expressive yet sad eyes looking up at him with such dismay. It is not weakness to feel such things, sweet sister. You are no coward. It is not a sin to be scared or to be weary of what may come next. He tried his best to comfort her, sorrow too showing in his gaze.
You have been through things that they could not possibly imagine. Even I do not know the extent of your experiences, but I do not need to know them to see how they effect you. Apple, you will heal in time. You just have to be patient with yourself, and to have faith. And besides, you have me, and Honoka here to support you. We won't allow you to fail. You will always have us. I promise. Apricot hoped that his words of encouragement and hope reached her weary mind. It pained him to see Apple in such a horrendous state. But maybe, just maybe, she could find the strength to heal and move on.
