Perhaps a Pangur , also welcome to a Periwinkle if they are still together <3

Andvari's short silhouette casted a shadow across the lakebed as he leaned over the shore. Sun glittered across the rippling water. The man's earthen gaze lifted higher than the reflections, to surrounding the forest. Tufted ears twitched as the laughter of pups echoed through the sheltering pines. A smile quirked upon the warrior's lip. The carelessness that the children had were a testament to the strength he and the other warriors of the village held in unity. No threat would leave unscathed.

Truly, the only threat the man could find at this particular moment is time is the savage rumble of his belly.

With a smack of his jaws, Andvari waded into the water, his gaze now set upon a lone boulder that had somehow stranded itself in the water. A suitable fishing spot for any hunter.

Climbing onto the boulder, Andvari flattened his belly to the stone. His hindlegs coiled against the boulder, and his forepaws on a small ledge of the stone kept him from falling in. There he would wait, with his own shadow hidden with the boulder's.

Time moved slow, but he had plenty to spare. He was soon rewarded with a dark silhouette deep beneath him. Locking his gaze onto his target, Andvari shifted his weight slowly. The muscles in his legs tightening as the fish swam closer... and closer...

With a mighty push, Andvari dived face first into the water. Outstretched jaws snatching upon fish scales as he captured his prey. A swell of pride rushed in his chest as blood bloomed in the water. Swimming upwards, Andvari broke the surface.

The world had changed.

The towering forests had been stripped from the landscape for vast open tundra, and a body of water far larger than he had entered. Not even the stone he surface by had been the same. Partially submerged, Andvari hauled himself atop it to gain a better vantage point. The tundra air chilled his sodden pelt, the only reprieve being the shining sun overhead.

Did the gods play a trick upon him?
