It was a peaceful dawn. The figure of a slender maiden lay quietly amongst the moss, her pale, peach-tinted back ignited into brighter hues when hit by the early morning light. Tendrils of soft fur shifted elegantly down her cheeks and breast, stray pieces of foliage tucked within the thicker tresses. To any passerby, she was a sleeping statue, frozen in time and highlighted only by the sun. Light-brown eyes hidden under delicate, dark lashes would shift open slightly at the rustling of nature, the only sign of life beyond her subtle breathing.
She must have fallen asleep while exploring late last night. Kore hummed a quiet, waking noise - it filled her chest with a rumble, ears lilting backwards as she stretched. She remembered drifting away to the smell of wildflowers and damp soil, but hadn't realized she had been so exhausted. Lately, even low-impact activities seemed to wear away at her energy. Lithe legs shoved forward almost ceremoniously as she dug her nails into the dirt, feeling her limbs slowly regaining function while she roused herself further.
What to do now, she thought idly.
