Hidden within the far north, one may notice the shores of this area seem locked in time, frigid and foreboding. Blackened sand serves as a cold backdrop against the stark white of the permafrost surrounding it; yet this place derives its namesake from the broken icebergs that have drifted to shore, littering the beach with chunks of gleaming ice that give the illusion of shimmering diamonds.
