Speech Emotional Actions Thoughts

Delta's sides heaved a huff out; pain settled for moments, and the sound of paws pattering closer eased her worries. Carefully lifting her gaze to Amon, she hummed faintly at the lick and smiled warmly. Despite the pain, she raised a paw and pressed it against his forehead, playful and also a silent thanks for being there.

Slowly, she grasped the pup in her jaws and shifted him towards her stomach. Straining with the limited movement she did have without pushing herself too hard.

Thank you for...y'know, sticking around?

She was unsure about what was going to happen. She had only had a litter before with a mate, so now, with someone who was just a friend? It was a bit odd, but the warmth of him being there eased some of her stress. Eventually another twinge ripped its way up her spine and Delta quickly laid herself back down and gritted her teeth harshly; the sound of her teeth grinding was faint but present.

Whilst this labor was worse off than her first, it took less time for her body to get used to the feeling and relax somewhat. Each heave of her side eased some of the pain, and it wasn't too long until another bundle of chaos joy was joining them, coated in deep blue that faded to rich yellows on the legs.

Slowly, she pulled the pup closer to her chest, gently nipped at any remaining sack to remove it and then she began cleaning as tenderly as she could without the risk of straining and biting the poor thing.
