Lazy as she had been thus far in her attempt at helping Mythris and whatever plague gripped it, Caiaphas was surprised to feel any sort of.... pull. She didn't appreciate it at first, and continued wandering the land. She could keep an eye out for these runes, but why should she follow the call of some... stranger? When the Highlands didn't prove any more interesting than a glimpse of an ice bear, she'd circled back around to leave and found a tunnel. She didn't know what it was, what it did, but she could feel the magic humming from it as clearly as once she had her own. The fae woman had been unable to deny the call of that, the urge to listen despite its foreign touch.

She entered. She walked for a day, and when she emerged, the blood moon seemed heavier in the sky. This bothered her little -- while its length was strange, a blood moon could mean too many things for her to worry over. It was this pull the Amulet felt that bothered her, though grudgingly, she obeyed the summons. Infuriatingly, it faded when she arrived in the foggy, red... morning? Evening? She couldn't see the disk that indicated the sun, but her internal clock suggested it was mid-day. She liked to hope she could still trust it after being alive as long as she had been, but what if she was in tune with some other world in some far-distant land?

Still, after gathering her bearings, she set out for the big-ass tree she could see wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy in the distance. Seemed as good of a place to be important as any, right? After some time, it became apparent she was approaching a lake, and Caiaphas thought she could hear the rush of the waterfall as if she hadn't been walking away from the one she could see from the tunnel. Confused, but undeterred, she carried on until she was forced to stop lest she jump into the water itself. The tree was... massive, yes, and she couldn't tell if it was growing right from the water or if there was some dirt there remaining above water level, but it didn't seem to matter. The marvel was, nonetheless, impressive.

But was it special? Was there a rune here? Was she supposed to search the whole bloody island for whatever had called her here? Caiaphas dug for the thread of connection she felt when the dream visitor spoke, wondering if she had to lay down and take a nap to hear any message -- which, in itself, didn't sound bad, when she thought of how long she'd been walking. These paws weren't getting younger!
