when the woman ruffled her crown, the girl let out a squeal more instinct than speech, springing to her feet in a puff of snow. snow flicks up beneath her paws to land on iglux̂ when she lunges, half-pounce, half-dance, earlier reserve gone. for all her frailty, fa'liya moved with bright instinct, nimble as light, circling the older huntress with shy laughter caught between her teeth.
when at last she slowed, panting little clouds, fa'liya's tail still wagged behind her.
Iglux̂.her grin broke wide, ears flicking forward. tension faded fast in the company of this woman, her reassurance.
