Vidarr had been more than happy to hear the summons, and not unlike many of Dawnbreak, Vidarr had been expecting the call. Anyone could see it - even those without sight would have been able to detect the connection between the two young wolves. Just about as many thought another pair from both families might sort themselves out, but both Aurelia and Solufur seemed to be oblivious. Perhaps by choice. Vidarr was a bit late to arrive, finding most of the children had gathered around Dalmatia.

Until he realized he was looking at Dalmatia and her tell-tale spots, and the children had all gathered around someone else.

He'd expect Nottin there, then, and yet....Druid? Golden gaze was wide, looking almost uselessly from the children to the even paler sylph. She floated, she beamed, she saw - and the Druid that they had laid to rest, the very same one whom he had guarded as she brought the boys into the world Oh Olive. The soft whisper from his normally loud voice was a background noise compared to the children who mourned. Tiberii, there on the ground, Aurelia who became a fount of her sorrow, Euphemia who looked uncertain, Isaiah and Cassius who had even less time with Olive than the girls, and then Vidarr's head snapped back to look at Dalmatia and tried to anchor himself again.

What in Mythris was happening?

His head swam with the pain of their loss, and he'd only been adjacent to the children as they mourned. He could have done more - and felt he should have. Now in many ways he felt like he owed them to show that not everyone would always be lost. He did not know how to align his thoughts and the reality of what he saw now. Would she be here always? Or would they mourn her anew when she was gone again?
