ah.. she gasps as the fur is slung over her broad shoulders, a warmth and glee running to her face. how long has it been since she's been given a gift? how long since she's worn furs? she'd lost all of them, meaningless compared to the kingdom and family she's lost yet such a familiar weight on her shoulders puts the biggest smile she's had in such a long time. oh, thank you. thank you so much..

stardust hardly takes racharra's warnings seriously — why would she? the gods only showed themselves in tragedy. in floods, in disasters, in mocking those that escape their wrath with tragedy after tragedy. the gods have long since scorned the ogress to death, and for equally as long she has been defying them.
she keeps quiet, only offering the slightest shrug until stardust's attention is taken elsewhere — beyond them was the faintest light, one racharra hadn't noticed until now. perhaps it was the divine, perhaps not. a lump formed in racharra's throat, and the midnight woman didn't help ease her nerves.
