Reid still looked a half-month or so younger than he was, and had been forced to delay involvement in Dawnbreak as a whole by a nasty ear infection that had left him too dizzy to walk outside the den very well - but the boy who bounced and bounded around Vidarr's heels today seemed a very different, vibrant creature. The boy was apparently unperturbed by his recent illness or recovery. His true feelings were more complex, but his excitement to go on an adventure with Vidarr away from the den was immeasurable. He'd like to be anywhere but the den, the only thing still holding his loyalty there being his adoration of his mother.

Reid pranced with high steps and tail curled over his back, letting the giant man clear the way for him so he could show off the way he was starting to master using his clumsy puppy legs.

Everyone in the whole world seemed gathered at this meeting place today. It was a little frightening. But Vidarr seemed entirely pleased to be there, and everyone else was...somewhat less boisterous. Reid knew just how to cheer them up, the very thing that could always bring a smile to his Mama's face: himself, of course.

Hello! Manners, manners; he made sure to announce his arrival with a simple greeting and 1000 watt smile that showed off every sharp little puppy tooth that had grown in. Important Grown Up things were happening, so Reid glued himself to Vidarr's bulk once he sat down and drank in the events around him with saucer-like hazel eyes. Vidarr had a lot to say, with way too many big words. Reid caught the gist of it - helpful as always, Vidarr. Reid kept much of his focus on sitting still and not zooming around the circle of seated wolves to sniff and say hello and ask all the questions that threatened to burst from his chest. He was being so cool and grown-up right now. He wished Mama could see too.

His focus dissipated at Vidarr's mischievous puff of air that made the robin's ears twitch before he turned a sharkish grin to his guardian. Reid aimed to shove his shoulder into Vidarr's ribs with a very young child's best (and ineffective) efforts to smother his giggling.
