Benji had no intention to stay long. Truth be told, she never stayed anywhere long at all, the Howff weren't special enough so as to garner that in particular but unlike at previous rendezvous spots, she certainly wasn't hurrying elsewhere. Whether it be the head injury that'd finally started to scab, or the gradual realization that something was very, very wrong with the lands she woke within, staying put was the smartest thing she could do. Or... staying relatively put.
She understood there to be a beach nearby and wherever there was a beach, Benji knew she could catch herself a fair enough meal.
Yet she hadn't made it very far at all when her nose twitched toward the demanding revelation that someone was close.

Benji drew to a stop, heavy paws thump, thumping against the dirt. "I can smell you," she said. "So I hope you weren't trying to sneak up on me."
