A heavy shake filled the world and Ivan jolted awake, checking each of her babies before she noticed one was missing. Axel. She quickly, though delicately, shifted away from her babies and checked the scents of where he'd been last. She nosed her way to the mouth where he stood. She hadn't realized how she'd tensed and when she relaxed she sighed, she blew out a puff of air she didn't know she'd been holding and came to stand next to her son.

She watched as he sniffed and tilted his head to try and find where the sound had come from. She too stuck her nose to the winds and sniffed, she swiveled onyx tipped audits this way and that but couldn't pinpoint where the sound and shake had come from. What do you think my son? She asked the boy, questioning what he found in his observations of the outside. She found the musk of many animals and the dankness of the forest, she noticed a heavy thickness in the air she couldn't explain and felt her fur standing on end. Ivandri shuddered a tiny bit from the weight the atmosphere brought.
