Oh, bless the magic that lay within these tunnels, that could transport her back and forth between far places at will!

This place had many gods, or perhaps few, but those they did have spoke with the strength of many. The ground quaked and shook before them. The laws of physics bent to their desire. These Gods threatened doom upon them all, and Ampoule was in awe.

The nymph had always served greater gods, even if she did not desire to do so. It was as much her nature as it was to breathe and swim. She would do as she was bade, but at first, she must flee! She must learn what the gravity of this opportunity meant to her, through glorious reprieve!

Even to the sea-nymph, the ocean was vast and unknown. Ampoule fled, for the moment, to the sanctity of the river and its ever-burning fires.

She approached it at long last, tired and needing a drink. She was only slightly surprised to notice that it was now pink. Most of her attention was given wholeheartedly to the darkened, solemn soul that stood just aside it.

Ampoule, her normal potency heightened and fanned by the fire, walked to the river’s edge and drank.

Her eyes were trained on the sad man. She felt a similar, yet unknown, pull. It was the same as when she found the shiver babe Dyname on her cold, frosted beach. She felt… she felt.......

a desire to help.

"the death of a beautiful woman is, unquestionably, the most poetical topic in the world; and as equally it is beyond doubt that the lips best suited for such a topic are those of a bereaved lover."
