
Without the haze from the pink flames, she sought out an escape in the form of accompanying her sweet, sleepy brother. Mostly to keep him out of trouble. Or from falling asleep in a bad spot where the ground threatened to open and swallow him forever. It wasn't a sort of responsibility she had ever felt before, but somehow she was a Pillar now, and she must be wise. She must!
She had felt so tired recently ~ almost hungover in her inability to summon energy, and a general malaise about everything. Half of her had assumed her awful dreams were the result of her despair and exhaustion, but the cracks had given life to another possibility. One that Euphemia now take seriously, lest it swallow her home whole.
Euphemia hunted alongside her curious brother.
