River dreamt of a warm sun shining down from its peak in the sky, and the sweet smell of honeysuckle. Her favorite flowers, some had still clung to her fur when she had lay to rest. She had time to kill before heading back to her pack. Even if they hadn't considered her as one of their own, she still treated them like they were hers. Sometimes she dreamed of a place so peaceful, a place that would accept her and all that she was. But as she floated farther away from her sweet dreams, she realized she felt the absence of that warm sun. Had she overslept? It was only supposed to be a small nap. Slowly she opens her eyes and blinks away the sleep that still tugs at her eyelids, wanting to pull her back under. She stands and shakes out her fur and finally gets a look at her surroundings. She drops her jaw in awe at the forest of weeping willows before her, their limbs swaying in the soft breeze with sun trying to peek through. She takes a moment to breathe in their scent and the air as it flew around her. Not as sweet as any flower she's smelled, but still pleasant nonetheless. On her exhale she opens her eyes and the awe wears off as she has no clue where she is. What was this magical place? Was she still dreaming? It wouldn't be unusual for her mind to taunt her with such a place. She looked at her paw and bit it, not hard enough to draw any blood, just enough to cause a small yelp of pain. No, definitely not dreaming then. Ok fine then she mutters to herself, not even thinking about if there was anyone around. She wasn't ever seen as a threat anyways, what could she do? She looks ahead with a face of curiosity, determination, and maybe a small hint of fear. Guess there's only one way to find out she says with a small huff as she picks a direction and walks. Hopefully out of this forest to see exactly where she may be, and maybe find someone who has answers.
