As the day grew long, and was beginning to turn to night, Lovett was still out, though he had begun to explore properly, despite the light fading with every moment. Still, his nose worked just as good in the dark, so he set to prancing around daintily, noting any worthy locations to come back and replenish his stock. With his current group, he knew he would need a larger backup stock than he was used to seeing.
Fresh wolf-scent washed over him, making his nose twitch at the sudden strong smell; Altair. It was unmistakable. He'd seen the wolf around before, but never gotten to speak to him in private. He had been wondering about this pack he'd been brought into, and was helping to create. Briar had mentioned a few things here and there, but Lovett was curious to hear from the lead himself. It was difficult to imagine anyone but Briar leading the three siblings, so it was safe to say the wolf was fairly impressive already.
Not bothering to hide his approach, Lovett used his nose to lead him closer to the other wolf, though he continued to place his paws daintily, as if he was scared of a little mud here and there. It seemed their leader was marking the borders, Lovett's grey eyes drawn to the dull glow of their urine. How... odd. That, plus Briar's obvious lack of shadow was greatly confusing, concerning, even. Still, he was too polite to ask.
Hello,Lovett said, quiet and polite.
Do you mind if I join you on your patrol?
