Her steady gaze was focused on the male, his word causing an ever so slight pleased smile to grace her feminine features.
Before another word could slip past the either of them, a steady breeze brushed through bringing on it's tail a new scent - another wolf, one that smelled of dusty pine.
Her head would be quick to swivel in search of the origin of the scent, caution finding her form as her gaze now found itself settled on that of a tall and slender wolf. His stride held a noticeable limp to it, yet no wound could be seen to her. An old wound, or a clever ruse?
There was a distinct lack of warmth or welcoming mirth in this male's eyes, his sudden question cutting through the tense atmosphere like butter. With him closer now, the faint scent of caribou and other wolves found itself tightly wrapped around the dark figure that now joined them. There would be a momentarily pause, the female soaking in the words thoughtfully with a gentle hum.
By now the evening light had dimmed to a brilliant sunset fervently painting the scene; Seamlessly blended swathes of fiery oranges and dusky blush.
"Let us dine together."
