Aelia didn't know how long she sat there for; it could have been anywhere from minutes to hours until her call was heeded. The whole time, her eyes very rarely diverged from the sky — perhaps a shooting star would pass by and grant her wishes.
But no, no shooting star would answer her call — but a friend would. Before hearing his voice, a familiar warmth would wash over her, the feeling of being seen, something the Daystar was used to the spotlight, and so her head would swing, her eyes meeting him as his voice echoed through the air.
'Hello.'
First, Aelia recoiled at the blood she saw staining him, worried at what would have caused such a thing, but then her eyes would drift and find the prey hanging from his shoulders. And secondly, the muscles that had been so tired, so tense, would unfurl at the sight of his ebbing brown aura, a comforting and warm draw that had the woman pushing one more step forward. She'd limp, not yet realizing that her paws were cracked and oozing blood.
Lykaon...!She still found her voice to be weak, out of breath. It must not have been too much time after her wishes and his arrival there.
Thank the Five, she'd murmur, for sending such a blessing to her, not only a friend, but fresh kill swinging from him. Embarassing as it was, she could feel saliva build in her maw. How long had it been since she'd eaten?
It's incredibly good to see you.She wanted to move another step closer, yet her paws wouldn't allow it; they ached, and she winced, and stayed put.
I could use a friend right now.Her eyes were filled with exhaustion, but she managed a smile for Lykaon, someone she'd already asked one too many favors of in her mind, but he'd always delivered in full.
