Vi let out a breath. Internally saying her thanks to the moon. If Mahina had judged her at all she didn’t show it, and that’s all Vi could ask for. She knew she had much to learn, and was almost excited to learn what Mahina and Gjalla had to teach her. She smiled back, a more relaxed smile. The tension slowly loosening from her, she lay where she had sat a moment ago. Not worried now about being too close.

I can’t wait to meet Gjalla, the way you speak of her… I am sure she is great.

The only girl she’s stuck together with was Marcia. Her mother didn’t believe in that kind of thing, it was always do what you must to get what you want. To be with someone with great power. But why couldn’t she have great power?

Vi lay her head on her paws, ready to nap to wait out the weather. Maybe she would learn she can hold the power, and Mahina and Gjalla would hold the answers for her.

She yawned, her eyelids suddenly feeling heavy with fatigue. Sleep slowly coercing her.
