In such a short time her world had become so much bigger, sound lingering longer in her attention, shapes moving at the edges of her still developing awareness and scents that carried stories she wanted to know about. She spent much of her days exploring the limits of her tiny body.

The wolfdog pup waddled through the den with all the confidence of someone who had absolutely no idea what she was doing. Her paws were too large and her balance unreliable, and every journey somehow ended with her tumbling into something. A sibling, or a wall or even herself. And today was no different.

Scarlett had managed to travel several whole body lengths away from the pile of resting pups before her back paw caught awkwardly beneath her. With a startled squeak she pitched forward, landing face first into the bedding, she stayed there stunned for a moment before an indignant Gah! noise escaped her.

Words! Well...kind of. It meant nothing but she was delighted by it all the same. Her head would lift, round eyes blinking as her tiny ears perked forward. Staring at absolutely nothing in particular while her tail gave a hesitant wag.
