After prayers, after breakfast, Amon waited for an audience with the Pharoah. It was awkward, to sit with his leg positioned straight out as it was, but he sat in any case, head lowered just enough to present as respectful.

His leg was still broken, his payment for their treatments would be unfulfilled just yet, but this was the time to talk it out. Perhaps too, he would be able to smooth things over between the packs, maybe. He hoped so, at least, he would like to visit the pyramid more. He did not yet know of Joxer's attack on the pack, did not know they thought he was a member of Jakten.

But, he was here, waiting to be called forward by Khaemwaset.
