A sigh of relief would leave her, he was friendly! Good.
"It is indeed." She would smile at his introduction, taking keen note of his name, "I am Fionnuala. We haven't - I think I would've remembered someone as striking as you!" She would remark with wonder, her gaze studying his form with an eager and excited wonder now that the distance between them finally closed.
He wore a variety of feathers, one of which glowed like nothing she had ever seen before - his athletic frame decorated by battle scars and a striking forehead diamond. Definitely a uniqueness to him that she hadn't experienced.
"I live .. close. In the forests. I heard strange birds when traveling this way and discovered this beach. It is quite beautiful." Fionnuala would sheepishly explain, the very gulls she spoke of filling the air with their calls. "May I ask what you are doing?" She would inquire, curiously tilting her head to peer at his net, eyes sparkling with wonder and intrigue.
Everything within these lands was so strange, completely different than what she was used to. Her life before seemed so simple and narrow - to be a pack member with an order she did not believe in or valued her, to follow someone else's orders without a say, to be a pawn. Here despite the natural struggle of survival alone, it has been liberating and freeing to find one's own path in life - to experience the wonders this life had to offer.
