Was she evil for finding amusement in his reaction?
No, evil was a strong word — mischevious was probably a better word for it. Unbeknownst to many, the stone-faced empress was secretly a hopeless romantic — often finding herself drawn to the lovey-dovey bickerings of other people's relationship lives. Maybe that made her a bit nosy, but certainly it didn't hurt to be curious every once in a while, right? Izumi did feel a little bad bringing it up, yes, but the way he stumbled over his words and got nervous at the mere assumption of their union….it was rather adorable.
Perhaps the cool toned woman draped in Russian blues agreed, considering she'd giggled, though shyly.
Yet she digressed.
Pasithea and Makara — two names of the pair that had turned her into the soggy third-wheel under the bridge. Nevertheless, she dipped her head politely, a smile still lingering against her dark lips from her purposeful inquiry.
This one greets you. Though I wish it would've been under better circumstances. She admits, raising her head to meet their gazes once more.
You may call me Izumi. I am empress of what will soon be the Fujiwara Dynasty lying upon Queen's Rest.
