His cry cracks the air; a hare dangles from sharp talons. If only he could find a fawn, he would bring it to Amunet. The man was devoted to the woman if nothing else. While he had taken great care not to linger too close to the woman, with her more sporadic temperament, he still thought it worth keeping an eye on her as well as bringing her snacks, however small. Thoth knew he should be trying to locate Azalea's children again, and yet a part of him resisted Amunet's protests. After all, she had been very restless and a bit snappy if he had to say so himself.

Sharp eyes spotted the woman, and he swooped low, dropping the hare in front of her before flying to a perch nearby. The woman uttered her thanks in their tongue, and he trilled in delight. I still seek out the children. You, however, should be resting, no?[/q] The male chattered back but offered a shrug of his wings when the opalescent eyes landed on him with a glare. He wouldn't laugh or tease her, however much he wanted to show affection in that way. Instead, he hummed a song of the sand, the tale of Aphosis's battle with Ra as Amunet ate and seemed to rest, much to his dismay at her being out in the open. He would watch and wait as he hummed their songs and told their stories all in the language shared between the two of them.
