It pleased him to see that Serafina had taken up on the plan, making herself useful as she moved away from him to the other side of the killing field. Oberon took his own place, making sure that his eyes never left the quarry in question. The caribou were still relatively calm, chewing on the long grasses that had finally grown from the cold snap of winter and blooming into spring. He eyed them very carefully, finally spotting an older male that had seen better days. The caribou was wobbly and seemed overly tired. A scent coming off of the male told Oberon that nothing was what it seemed to the naked eye.

Blue eyes looked over to Serafina, his gaze motioning to the old male caribou and for her to be ready when he made the chase begin. The chocolate colored wolf moved ever so carefully further around the herd, making sure not to trample any debris or move a single stone out of place. Then when the time was right, he bolted for the old caribou, sending the herd into a panic and running into the direction of thicker trees. Now the chase had begun.
