Pollux woke this morning and decided at random which child to take with her on patrol, settling on Bruce and jabbing his strawberry like rear with her paw to wake him.
Up, you're with me today
The sun was not up yet, and won't be for some hours, rightfully the pup should be sleeping and his body focusing on growing. But Pollux was of the mind that training was more important than sleeping, it toned the body, sharpened the mind. If the boy hadn't gotten enough sleep? He'll learn for next time. Polly didn't wait for him to wake properly, leaving the den and starting on her patrol, it was a long walk to the borders after all.
He'll keep up or get bit, she walked as if he was full grown.
The frost was keeping the fog at bay, for now at least until the sun rises, and from the den exit up high on the mountain they had a relatively clear view of the moonlight shining off of Skyspear on the horizon. The pros of living near the peak...
The cons were the long walk, ears perked for signs of this 'wolfeater' Cecil swore was real, following the well worn path and looking for anything out of the ordinary once they were away from the denning areas.
