It was a sight that was utterly saddened and depressing. Apricot had woken up to a world without the love of his life, without the purpose that he had sought for so long. Marcia was gone and there was nothing he could do about it. How long she had been away, he wasn't certain. But regardless of the why, Apricot's heart had been broken. The King couldn't tell any more how long it had been since she had vanished. The days blend into one another, becoming boring and mundane beyond reason.

Nothing seemed to snap him out of it, not even the kids. And worst of all, it brought about his need to stay away from Apple even more so. For what could possibly come from a man that needed particular attention, by seeing someone he shouldn't? So Apricot made his way to the far corner of the beach, walking along the coastline as his dual colored eyes looked out to the vast ocean. The cold air did its best to grip at his coat and skin, the humid air making him appear larger and more fluffy then usual.

Though he wasn't quite there yet with a full on winter coat. A deep sigh escaped his lips as he came to a sitting position, his full body weight sinking into the sand as his paws tried to keep him up. A scene that would be disgraceful to any others in the pack, and certainly other kingdoms, but he just didn't care in that moment. Let them judge. Perhaps they didn't know the pain of losing a loved one. Maybe one day, they would. Then they would all understand.
