As the winter chill creeps upon the land of Mythris, so too do the eerie beginnings of a blood-red moon. From October 25th to November 1st, members can catch the crimson glow high in the sky, growing stronger with each passing night.

A blood moon is coming to Vivarium, with its crimson peak settling on the night of October 31st.

But that’s not all.

It seems the dead are shifting as the veil between our worlds thins.

If you have a deceased character that was once active on site, they may enter or create one thread during this time period. They will appear normally, speak normally, and perhaps retain a touch of what they once smelled like ... but they cannot physically interact with any creature, or the environment (other than normal movements). They cannot harm or be harmed. And once this thread is over, they will be gone once more, back from wherever they came from.

Please note that the thread must be started or entered on the above dates, but the thread can continue until it is finished.

If you do not have a deceased character, your character can still interact with someone deceased from their past! A parent, a best friend, a child ... etc. In this case, the "beings" may be less visible, or more like a "presence." You can take a bit more creative liberty with this!

Please absolutely DO NOT use these threads to metagame or give/gather information that could be harmful to another character without explicit permission from all parties! This is meant to be spooky/fun! But of course, we always love a little collaborative mischief, too!

Did you really think talk of the undead would be the only spooky surprise?

There's a strange sight on the horizon....

Winter begins to settle in Vivarium. And as the darkness of winter threatens, something ... curious ... appears on the Eastern horizon.

You can see it; you're certain.

A thick wall of clouds stretches across the ocean of the East. Dark, dense, and almost unmoving. There is no feasible or natural explanation to this phenomenon, and as the days pass, the strange cloud formation remains. Persistent. Looming.

Permanent.

Is it a trick of your eyes? Some strange weather circumstance?

Or ... is there something to be found beyond the veil?

Vivarium ... Keep your eyes on the horizon, for the end of the year may have a surprise in store.
