Within the back of Ronald’s den lay two items, pristine and tucked away behind a rock, a nicely secure area from prying eyes.
The first a large conch shell, swirled with white and pale pink. He assumed Amphi would like it, as it was not only a reminder of their first date, but it also whispered gentle waves if you leaned down and listened closely.
The second gift was one that not many would understand. A round rock, nearly a perfect sphere. Its color was dull, gray, and honestly a bit ugly. But, it was not the exterior that was the gift. No, it was not just some rock, but a geode. Roland had been hoping that the two of them would be able to break it together and witness whatever shining quartz would be revealed.
