Things have been a bit strange in the forest. It started off normal enough, a couple of deer prancing away together, then there was the pair of snowshoe hares, next a couple of cardinals flew overhead, and now a pair of foxes. Everywhere you look, you see that Mother Nature is completely and utterly twitterpated. All of the creatures seem to be going in the same direction, what could have been summoning them all? You wonder why you don't feel this gravitational pull—or perhaps you do.

Harper does not recall how she’s found herself here; with fermented berries being her newest obsession to hide away her grief and all her pain, Harper doesn’t even begin to question how or why she’s here. It is morning, however, and is taking a stroll through the forest for some fresh air when she begins to notice the animals.

The deer; the fox; the birds - everything around her is headed in the same direction, and everything around her has found its other half. Will she find hers awaiting for her at the end of the tunnel?

She hopes, but there is doubt in her heart.

This world was strange, but it was not completely different from what was once her modern life. Everything was eerily similar, with other's who'd suffered the same fate as her, this magical land felt like a fairytale she once read as a child.

When Yew awoke that day, the magic of this land felt all too keen, flowing through her veins as she cast her gaze on the unfamiliar surroundings that graced the morning light. Perhaps she'd lost track of time when she fell asleep, maybe she slept walked like she often did when her human skin was most familiar. Almost drunkly, she sat up, watching the world around her move as slow as before except for one difference.

Her animal companions seemed to be alive with a primal need. Something that the once married woman was not too unfamiliar with. Two by two they went, dancing, gravitating towards something through the trees. Perhaps it was this wolfish body of hers, but something pulled at her to follow the creatures. She'd never known not to trust their instincts before after all. Be it a barking dog, or a fleeing bird in the sky, it always meant something.

She rose with a tired blink and less than graceful stretch. Perhaps she'd yet to wake fully, for as she took a step, it would seem as though her body was not as alive as the world around her. She tumbled, tripping over her own feet with a sharp yelp falling face first back into the grass she'd just arisen from.

It felt almost as if she were on a couple’s resort, and all the animals were leading the way, to… what she was certain would be a magical moment of someone of wonder, that would change her life forever. She had never seen the forest come together in such a way, with the air feeling so light, so carefree, - well, Harper didn’t have a word for it, but it was beautiful.

Or it had been, until a sharp yelp broke the silence and Harper found that she wasn’t even that far from the source. Had the animals been leading her this way all along? She made her way to the other female, taking her in like a fine wine, eyes sweeping over her delicately.
