Vitus' head was full, he sought...well, he never truly knew. Feelings and urges nagged at him, the hair along his spine rose and fell, and he never knew why until something happened. The seer followed where his paws took him, mind wandering, when he stumbled upon a...bunny.
A bunny carrying a branch, which was odd enough on it's own, but a branch with berries and leaves? In the dead of winter?
It ran, and despite his mind's urges to
not follow he did.
Where would this take him? The gods have delivered this messenger to him, but would it be an ill omen, or a trap to take him away from the remaining family he had.
But what was life, if you didn't take risks?
The yearling followed the bunny, as the creature would stop and turn to see if he was following still before disappearing again, until the little beast disappeared under a tree root. A tree, that was not native to these lands, in full bloom no less.
Multiple trees it seemed, as he padded forward, inspecting the bark before seeing the branch with berries laid down in the center of the path.
Vitus picked it up, before following the trees that grew closer and closer together until he was in a lovely smelling tunnel, his tail up and wagging as the scents eased his mind and put a pep in his step that he hasn't had since he was younger. It began to open up, the tree tunnel leading into a summer field, the flowers of the tundra in full bloom...
And a stranger, seen in the distance.
