He watched her from a moment, grimacing at the idea of getting his gums scraped by the hard bark like she was doing right now, before making....a stupid decision probably. She may turn on him next. As he got nearer, he recognized her. Lylith. The one who beat him in the semi-finals.

Yeah he was going to get his ass beat.

Yeah, he might be getting his ass kicked, as she snarled and glared up at him. Was she just mad about being short? Girl, there's more problems in the world than being knee high to an apple.

It was his turn to look a little grumpy, as she asked if he should be at Northfall sucking up to Arvid. He is no king of mine his words held a finality to them, and it felt....good, to actually say it out loud. But there was something more important than that at paw here.

It's not my business, but those trees are touched by the gods, what if you anger the spirits inside? Their magic could turn to rot and spread Like the mountain top. Though now that he's said it, it sounds like he was making excuses to save the tree an unjust execution. Find something else to take your anger on

He didn't rise to the bait, didn't feel the need to explain why he left to the other yearling, his eyes did narrow however when she hissed fuck the gods.

Wasn't she Elysium? He thought that was their big thing.

Then came the threat to rip his balls off, and if he was anything like his sister he would have said 'If you can even reach'. But no, he thought it instead as he stared at her unamused, even as he mentally braced for getting bit. He knew girls, they'd get bored or annoyed if he didn't fight back. Why do you feel the need for it?

Yikes! So much for talking it out like adults. He watched almost apathetically as Lylith licked her teeth before charging at him, doing exactly what he expected her to do. But instead of running...

Vitus braced himself to feel her teeth, though he would prefer to be able to redirect the older yearling's charge if he could. If he could manage to get her inside and through the tunnel to whatever happy place the gods give them, maybe she'll calm down a bit? Maybe?

Either way, his biggest goal was keeping those pearly whites away from his neck, he'd let her chew him up a bit.

Her teeth were in his shoulder, the boy wincing but...comforted he didn't feel any piercing.

He positioned himself then, either Lylith free or not, at the tree tunnel entrance, ready for another of her charges as the sweet scent of the blooms reached his nose.
