Come on Willow, just a little further! The mare just locked her limbs to protest the further tugging of the reigns. Bee used the flat of her hand to swat honey tresses out of her face, but it only served to make the wet strands flop uselessly back into her face. A chill ran down her spine, as the rain continued to pour, and pour, and stick her petticoats to her. Her skirts..the less said about them the better. Her mother would have had a heart attack at their state now, mud smeared and ruined, but she couldn’t stop now. She had to keep going, keep running away. She blew the unruly strand from her face again, but only succeeded in blowing water into her face. She released Willow’s reigns for only a moment, but the horse took the chance when it came. She surged forward, ramming into Bee’s thin little body and vanishing into the rain.

But she wouldn’t know. Because oblivion came for her the moment she’d been rammed into by a horse. Her last sight was the grey sky, before nothingness swallowed her.

And in a meadow far away, a world away, a golden little yearling was sleeping soundly in a bundle of wildflowers, as the deer snorted and shied away from her sudden appearance.

The woman painted like the night sky was on one of her treks to see if she could find out more information about this cursed world. She had made her home in Druid’s Rise with her friend Kirain, whom she met on her first night falling into this world in a dream. A dream that never ended. A dream that was haunting her with the notion that she may never go back home. It was a thought that refused to completely leave her mind, and is what drove her to continue to explore beyond their now established home.

Stardust walks with a refined grace through the tall grass, feeling the sun warming up her dark pelt. It was a feeling she actually quite enjoyed, and was almost complete immersed in when her raven…friend, sure, friend wooshed past her. Stardust stopped in her tracks, wrinkling her nose in annoyance as she heard the raven caw and continue ahead. She was learning that when the raven does that, it tends to be telling her…something. What, she doesn’t know. She huffs and continues forward through the grass. After a few moments, the raven comes back and lands on her back- a thing it has never done before.

”Wha- what are you doing? Did I say you could get your claws on me? My goodness!” she says rather loudly, the raven cawing and flying ahead ahead towards what she notices is a group of deer seeming rather wary about something. She pauses and stares for a moment, focusing in but she cannot see what it might be with the tall grasses in the way.

Stardust confidently strides forward, the raven cawing in the grass at…something. She eventually gets to the point where she sees a creature of honey hues in the grass. At least, she could only see part of it. She lifts her head higher, ears perked, eyes wide and curious. She had to make sure it wasn’t a bear, a puma, or one of those Tiger things she met. As she peeked over, she could tell now that it was a rather lovely looking wolf. Stardust, being a wolf of refined visual tastes, knew a beauty when she saw one. But this is a rather odd plan to be sleeping, in a field of wildflowers, even though it was quite an aesthetic sight. She took a moment to simply gaze at her, and it wasn’t until the raven cawed right in her ear basically that Stardust snapped out of it.

”Ah! What the hell! That was LOUD!” she snipped sternly, looking back down at the woman. ”Well, you probably just woke them up, so good job, sorta a rude way to wake someone up, don’t you think? Don’t argue back with me!” she snapped at the crow, who cawed back. They bickered like an old couple who didn’t even speak the same language.

The crow’s cawing broke through the gauzy film over Bee’s thoughts, drawing a groan of protest from her throat. Accompanying the cawing however, was a voice. A woman’s voice, unfamiliar and argumentative. It made her body coil, her eyebrows drawing together. Arguing hadn’t been familiar in their household, but she remembered her mother’s voice rising when her father revealed what he’d done. That had been the first time she’d heard a raised voice from the placid woman, and she wanted nothing more than to soothe this woman she didn’t know.

But everything was wrong. It wasn’t raining, the grasses under her felt different than the ones that had always touched her legs, and the air smelled..more. Like she had suddenly started to smell each and every wildflower separately. Bee blinked open her eyes, squinting against the sunlight as it poured over her. A drowsy warmth still clung to her body, wanting her to do nothing more than fall limp in sleep again. But everything was different. She was different, she considered as she stretched out her limbs in front of her. No wonder she was so dozy, this must have been a dream! The woman speaking was too a wolf, so it was undoubtedly quite the odd dream.

What were they arguing over?

I must say, this is the oddest dream I’ve ever had. She mused aloud, blinking wide eyed at the woman and crow arguing, then her surroundings.

Not unpleasant, though.

During their bickering, it appears the younger girl woke up. Stardust’s bright cyan eyes snapped back towards the girl sleeping in the grass. ”Quiet, she is awake now,” she demanded, blinking a few times as the girl stretched out her legs. The raven stopped their cawing, but the sounds of songbirds still filled the fresh warm air around them.

Stardust sighed as the girl mentioned that this was a dream. ”Oh hell, here we go,” she said to herself…somewhat, it was loud enough. The wolf of night hues shook her head. ”Darling, that is what I thought. This must be a DREAM! I even come from a family of Dreamwalkers, quite familiar with the world of dreams,” she states, looking up a bit as she remember just how she got here…from the sky after falling asleep.

”And unfortunately, I have to report to you that this is not a dream. We all got transported here AGAINST OUR WILL, out of NO WHERE, and no one has found a way back as far as I am aware,” she says with attitude towards the sky, her rage towards it neverending. The raven caws a few times behind her, and Stardust was finally feeling like she may just understand the damn thing. ”See, they were brought here against their will too. But wait,” she asks, leaning forward a bit to sniff the girl. The smell of gentle flowers fills her nose.

”Is this your first time here? Did you just wake up in this field? Where were you before this?” she asked quickly, pulling back a bit. Stardust was a naturally beautiful wolf, tall but well muscled. She looked to be touched by the night sky on a moonless night. Her face, though lovely, did suffer a bit from the resting bitch face, but luckily she looked a bit more on the friendly side on this equally beautiful day.

The dark woman was dressed in a coat of stars, pretty to look at. Perhaps that had been what captivated Bee’s eye that day, enough that she barely heard what she was saying. It is only when she draws closer that she catches on to the fact she’s being spoken to, and hastily, she whips her head about to take in her surroundings.

I..can safely say that I have never been here before. For one thing, the meadows back home didn’t have these kinds of flowers. Bee ran the tip of a claw over one, watching as it bent beneath the weight before springing right back up again. It was beautiful here, in what just had to be a dream. Because for one thing, it seemed she was some kind of animal, and she knew for a fact that was not something she could do before. She had tried.

I was..well. I was on the run. Bee said with a prim arch to her tone and her brow, as if daring the woman to comment on her statement. She let it hang in the air for a second, before it all blasted out in a whuff of air.

My father had sold my hand in marriage to some lordling with more money than sense, as if I didn’t chase him off a pheasant hunt more than once, so I took my horse and I ran. Oh dear, poor Willow must have been so afraid. Not to mention her mother and her sisters…maybe even her father. He hadn’t seemed to regret his actions when she’d first confronted him.

And now I am here, and I am a..wolf? A rather mangy dog? Either way, I prefer it to marriage to that fop of a man. Even just thinking about it made her nose crinkle.

The girl seems a bit taken by her surroundings, and that about confirms to Stardust that this girl just got here. Cyan eyes look her over, but she could not find any visible injuries on the girl. Thank goodness. That means she likely didn’t fall from the sky.

The girl finally speaks and observes the flowers. Stardust watches, blinking, as the girl seems to be in awe of the situation. A stark contrast to Stardust’s reaction to getting here. The girl then began explaining, and Stardust sat on her haunches, a butterfly wandering past her. The mentioned being on a run and then…paused. Stardust pulled her head back a bit, eyes looking back and forth. ”Uh, okay?”” she said, and as the girl continued she realized she mis-understood what she had said. On the run. Not on a run. God damn it.

At that point it was too late, and the girl was explaining her situation. Half of what the girl said made no sense to Stardust, and the growing confusion on her face became more apparent with each word. The last statement really got her. Stardust’s brow was risen, and she smacked her lips.

”Well then, where to begin,” she states, face wrinkling as a fly buzzes around her and she swipes it away with a paw. ”I’m going to be real here, I don’t know half of what you are talking about. Money? Horse? What are those things? And what do you mean you are a wolf, of course you are a wolf, have you not always been a wolf?” she asked bluntly, jaw snapping at the fly as it dares to come near her again. So annoying. ”Because I have always been a wolf, even before here GOD DAMN IT GO AWAY.” she yells, snapping again at the fly. Behind her, the raven caws and bounces forward a bit to be next to Stardust, feeling confident this girl was of no harm.

The woman was odd, but at least she was kind. Bee watched her snap at the fly flying over her shoulder, while the same bird that had woken her from her transmigrated sleep hopped closer, and she let out a little giggle.

Perhaps I have always been a wolf, and the rest of my life was an even stranger dream? She finally suggested, trying to pull herself up from her lying position and finding it was not quite grand to adjust to four legs rather than two. Bee wobbled, her front limbs crossing as she tried to take a step.

Oh, perhaps I have been asleep a long time! A chimed laugh escaped her mouth, as she strained her head back up and wobbled on her new limbs. This was so much better than two limbs, she could feel the power in these new muscles. The urge to run hummed in the back of her mind, but she kept it away as she tried to walk a few paces without almost falling. It grew easier with every step. She was quite enjoying this!

Pardon, madam. Bee finally started when she felt she wouldn’t fall over with her next step.

But do you know where we are? And what is around? All she could see was wilderness, and her nose said it was just them here. And wasn’t that a novelty, a nose that could tell you that!

Stardust had heard about different lives, but no one had expanded on it before. She had a hard time wrapping her head around it, but perhaps this girl knows more?

”What is this other life you are talking about?” she asked curiously as the other woman got up. She walked like she had never walked on four legs before, and Stardust lifted a brow as she watched.

”When I came here, I was falling asleep then found myself falling from the sky and got…IMPALED by a tree branch in my leg. This raven here got transported with me I think. Not totally sure, it has yet to speak any words, but you could have had something similar happen.” she stated, cyan eyes watching the girl moving around now. Stardust found herself grinning a bit, as this girl did not seem so bothered being torn away from home.

”Oh, where we are?” Stardust looked around at the field, and then pointed towards the direction of druid’s rise with a singular dark, elegant paw. ”Well, my den with my friend is over that direction, but I don’t really know where we are, considering the circumstances,” she lowered her paw, standing up with the raven hopping towards Bee curiously. ”You are not…upset being taken away from your home?”
