Of days where traveling is too costly on the thin canid’s body, she chooses instead to rest under large trees while her rats go about their business. They hurry along the undergrowth, grabbing whatever they can get their hands on to bring back to their princess. Tofa shakes or nods her head to what find. Sometimes it goodies like berries and tubers, but usually it’s acorn tops and weeds. She doesn’t seem to mind, though, for what would they do without her?

The breeze flows nicely across her fur, encouraging a deep relaxing sigh to fill and exit her lungs. The day was peaceful, although not productive.

Rats. Journey usually wouldn't bother to waste her energy, especially if at the time she was in the north, on a kill this small. Yet the depth of this year's cold had forced her and the prey southward. These rats happened to be quite plump and so, though she had not become starving, would not pass up a chance of food, however small. It was not the season to be picky.

She prowled, quiet and low along the dark trees. Ready for the coming chase until these rats brought the scent and eventually, sight, of a wolf which they presented their gifts to. Strange. But the journeyman had lived many lives and seen many things.

Do those belong to you? She lifts straight and comes out from her cover. The little wolf before her was quite cute - seal point with speckles of stardust on those dark points.

As the woman, who was much taller than she, emerged from the brush and undergrowth, the rats instantly ran for the hills. The hills being the neck fur of the princess, who lounged like royalty under the shade. She shrunk a bit, but felt compressed- much too compressed to stand. If this one wanted to harm her, certainly they would get to her much faster than she could stand. Her ears were erect, large and round and facing the stranger. Her eyes, much the same. Their wideness reminiscent of owls at night, big and circular with tiny pupils resting inside them.

Yes. She chirped, her eyes flashing downwards as if to gesture at them, or to recognize them, before looking back up at the stranger.

She seemed normal enough, but she mostly silent, quiet, and strange with a face she manipulated and distorted as if it was her first day owning one.

The dark faced girl was quiet and perhaps a bit awkward. Speaking just a concise 'yes' in response with wide eyes and oddly expressioned on her mouth. Quite alright, for Journey was fully capable of pulling the conversation. My apologies then. I suppose it would be unkind to hunt your companions. She speaks with a bit of a guilty grin.

Coming a little closer into her direction with a few bounding strides, Journey settled down in a sit on the woodland grounds. I am Journey af Nordfall. Not far, if you just follow the river upstream.
