It began many moons ago…
The Fallen Samurai and The Lost Princess.
Osamu, a once great samurai; Slain by an Oni while trying to protect the life of another from its vicious hands. He wakes up in a foreign world, forced to tread its lands in the body of a wolf and navigate life without his hands, his sword, or his purpose.
Izumi, a former princess to the fallen Fujiwara clan. Separated from her missing family, she goes from pack to pack to find a new purpose and fails. Cursed to wander the lands as none more than a wayfarer who once belonged to a great bloodline.
When they’d first met in those barren plains, the pair were merely strangers crossing paths one fateful afternoon. A skeptical woman and equally skeptical man who easily could’ve been on their way – but fate had other plans for them both.
On a whim, she makes him an offer: Offering a place amongst a dynasty and family she soon seeks to return to its formal glory. In return, he’d offer her protection as her samurai and mercenary training beneath his expertise. With him by her side and a group of old and new followers alike, the Dynasty is restored from its fall, and Izumi inherits the crown as Empress. With her new protector and mentor at her side to help in every step of the way.
That’s all it should’ve been - yet fate had bloomed their relationship into something much more unexpected.
Throughout the years, their once strictly contractual partnership turned into an inseparable friendship - which then blossomed into a forbidden love between A Samurai and his Empress. One that had seen years of restraint, denial, and conflictions of two hearts who thought it was never meant to come to pass.
After many moons and several lifetimes - they finally confess their feelings to each other underneath the pale moonlight - and together join as one: Emperor and Empress to the Western Dynasty.
- and yet, to their own surprise, their union wasn’t the final chapter in this love story at all….
What to expect (while we're expecting)?
These children will have blood ties to the Fujiwara lineage and will be raised as princes and princesses, with one among them destined to become the Dynasty’s future heir. Under their parents’ firm but gentle guidance, they will grow up within a True Neutral/Neutral Good-leaning group where they will be taught to value and uphold balance, tradition, honor, and the general wellbeing of their people alongside the general responsibilities of their bloodline.
They will be born to very loving parents who will be deeply involved in each of their lives and make every effort to ensure their pups have a happy, fulfilling childhood.
However - being royalty means their upbringing will never be entirely normal. They will have plenty of opportunities to play, explore, make friendships, (break friendships), and simply be children together, but their days will also include rigorous formal education, political lessons, cultural traditions, and an early introduction to the responsibilities that come with their family’s position. Osamu and Izumi will strive to shield them from the harsher realities of leadership while preparing them for the very real possibility that, one day, those same realities will become theirs to face.
NOTE: All pups will be rolled for a Mark of Mythris, as Osamu bears a Mark!

1. - Activity requirements: While we respect all activity levels and we understand that life can make posting difficult at times, we also want to be sure these pups are at least maintaining 1 post per 3 months to remain active, but we would like to see them posting at a greater frequency as well! We will try our best to provide ample opportunity for you to wedge into one-on-one and group posts, but our DMs/family chat is always open if you’re struggling. We are happy to help figure out a solution if you’re feeling lost or need a bit of help getting on track. :) However, should a pup go inactive without contacting us/responding to attempts to contact you, we will take them back to be adopted back out.
2. - Post requirements: Pups’ designs are 100% yours after 80 posts. There’s no deadline on this. The post count resets if the pup is adopted out a second time (so if it comes to second player with 20 posts, the new owner will need to have 100 posts on the account total since 20 were not their posts). This number spans between “lives” in the event a pup dies for whatever reason and is reincarnated, so you won’t lose any ownership progress!
After your 80 posts, the design is all yours - as is their Toyhouse profile, which we will then transfer. Each pup and the art made for them & purchased by Karle and Cheeto are yours upon transfer, and you are no longer subject to a pup being taken back due to inactivity or leaving the site at this point.
In the event the pup is taken/given back before you attain ownership, all original assets remain ours. If you have purchased art of the character while it was being played by you, please let us know - there’s a very good chance we’d like to buy rights to it to keep it with the character! Otherwise, you may repurpose the art for a different character.
In the event you want to sell the design after fully owning it, we reserve the right of first refusal - meaning we would ask that you please offer them to us to purchase before opening them to the general market. Ideally, we would like to keep the adopt in the family and permitting us to purchase them would make that possible.
3. - If you decide to leave Vivarium before 80 posts, the puppy and its design will be transferred back to us.
4. - Please avoid immediate killing/kidnapping/death/maiming. Or check in with us! We love chaos, as long as it is communicated!
5. - Please note there may be off-screen activity. This means there may be events/situations/assumptions communicated OOC that should translate to IC (this will be discussed before happening!) We will do our best to have threads for whatever is possible, but please understand there may be instances where things need to be hashed out OOC - especially if there’s threads that need to be sorted out before the next.
Ultimately, communication is key. This is a family group of mixed speed posters! We encourage both IC writing and OOC communication to make a happy family. We look forward to seeing your applications!
