THIS LAND IS A YOUNG ONE…

The storm had come and PASSED sometime in the night, Dalgarrus had found little shelter within this small island && was fortunate enough to FIND water or food. Dalgarrus would then search for something to help buffer the WIND that continued to tug at his coat and RUFFLE his fur ( and wasn't that a novelty, to have fur rather than scales… And wasn't that a thought? To have once had scales ) ,his fluff of his mane blowing in the wind.

He took half a day to wander the land, to walk its border and investigate its secrets,
New scents and scenery greeted him as he walked && curious thoughts passed his head as he did so,

How did he awaken here, what was his purpose?? And WHAT was the drive that pulled him now?? Dalgarrus knew with certain that his own actions lead him here, where ever HERE was but could not fathom why—

Cold nipped his ears, his snout and Dalgarrus looked upwards to the sky, seeing the clouds obscure it blue and gray out the world, with a frown all Dalgarrus could do was to continue moving, work body && muscles to heat up and keep AHEAD from the cold that nipped at his heels.

“This land is too young to home me here forever, but… where shall I go.” He wonders, perched atop the jagged rocks near the beach shores, stretching out his neck for whatever little distance he could get, the fog had cleared the first night he was here, the land in the distance looked like a swimmable distance ( thought truthfully he wasn't excited about the swim, nor the COLD that the waters will be.) he could make today…

But that pull.

That TUG that beckoned him to go west was ever persistent, so much so Dalgarrus would find himself at the western beach, looking out to what looked like a mountain on the horizon. Grumbling and HUFFING as the male would walk up and down the beach sides contemplating.

He HAD to make a decision, he was wasting TIME.

LOGICALLY going to the land he could practically see with his eyes was a safer choice….

Logically…

But

Dragging a decent chunk of driftwood into the ocean water, CLAMPING his jaws on a bit of bark branching out and KICKING out into the water. Half a day WASTED in this indecision and here Dalgarrus was making even worse decisions, what an absolute twig he was being!

Following some unrealistic feelings! How barbaric!

“Likely to DROWN we are!” he growls around the bark.

But already he kicks and swims, the workout holding back the chill but never really leaving. He swims with all his legs, and when it gets too much Dalgarrus takes breaks with the driftwood throwing an arm over to rest before once more SWIMMING again.

Its Grueling.

This was insane, to follow some instinctual tug to some distant island, Dalgarrus could feel his body begin to shiver, pulling back his arm from around his small raft, clamping his teeth back around his life branch and kicking swimming again. Even THAT was slowly losing the effect of keeping off the cold.

Did he kill himself again? Deciding to go off swimming and freezing to death…

He was sure that somehow, there was someone he knew that would have laughed at his face if that happened. He started this swim early morning, and now approaching Dusk, and the only solace in this whole ordeal was the fact that he DIDNT get turn around, Before him slowly approached the Island, the distance mountain growing until finally-

FINALLY!

Dalgarrus walked with shaky legs up the shore, his makeshift raft left behind as it lapped against the shore from the waves, it took ALL his energy to walk further up the shore before finally, FINALLY collapsing closer to the tree line. Dalgarrus body continued to shiver, and he knew that logically he should move, find shelter and get warm somehow.

His body simply continued to lay there, the night finally setting and with it his eyes as well.

The next morning, Dalgarrus still laid there, body shaking every once and awhile as the sounds of the beach tide softly roll in. The wolf once dragon sleeping with little care in the world..
