Altair was quiet, mostly, he often lingered the borders of his soon to be home, marking it like he had already claimed it as his. He planned to, planned to make this his home, a sanctuary for those different, for those unable to protect themselves from someone else. Today, he planned to explore if he could, using the warmer temperatures to venture down from the cave he'd staked a claim on, but not before he announced his movement, a low howl rumbled from his throat, a call for those around, waiting for the Kingdom to rise or even possibly nearby seeking shelter, that he was here, and that here was safe.

Afterwards, Altair leapt down, paws skidding on stone before jumping down into soft grass and padding through the thick fog that seemed to never lift from the mountains, not until a wolf found the hidden valley within the peaks, a sanctuary for those to come and go if they pleased until the Kingdom finally set its walls down.
