Bao had lingered with this group many days now since her arrival; they lingered in the same area she'd woken up in, just now on an island offshore. Her mind still spun, and everything ached too; she was used to freezing temperatures. So she got used to warmer climates and easier-to-breathe air, besides it being dry and stinging her throat for a few moments after every threat.
The world was different; she couldn't see the mountains, not even ones she'd grabbed glimpses of. Her chest burned slowly; for now, she moved slowly through the island where the band had settled down, searching for herbs and anything she could use for possible fatigue or wounds that any had gathered. When she decided she'd moved too far, she quickly turned tail, scooping a few lamb's ear from the ground she'd snatched.
Her white pelt dashed swiftly, a blur but stark contrast against the shades of greens and purples of the wisteria trees.
