With summer in the rearview mirror, all of Mythris can feel the cool breeze that whispers ‘Sayonara’ to the endless days of heat. Fall has come, and so with it, the valley of changing leaves. All across Mythris, your character will see a sea of changing colors: from red to orange to yellow to brown. Trees of various species shed their green leaves, filling pathways with the multicolored sight of autumn. Enjoy it!

Ghosts of the Past

Something appears to be creeping in the shadows…Have you noticed feeling watched? Overheard? Or spied on? Has the fur along your back risen with trepidation when you’ve found yourself alone in the closing hours of the night? Have you heard sounds you may’ve tried to dismiss as nothing more than the wind?

Well, you may be in luck!

Under normal circumstances, you might’ve been paranoid, but this fall season, it appears the land of Mythris is…celebrating?

During the times between Twilight and Dusk, characters of Mythris may be able to spot the misty apparitions of various animals frolicking about the land. They do not speak, but they seem to listen. They cannot be harmed, and they cannot harm you. But most curiously of them all, these misty apparitions seem to release a sensation of peace, tranquility, and serenity, as if they are trying to remind you that all will be alright.

Members can write about their own version of wispy apparitions that their characters may see through the autumn season. These ghost-like creatures cannot aid your character in-game, nor harm or give information, as they are silent, but characters can watch as they seem to go about their daily activities as if they were still alive today.

The Lost Breaths of Mythris

There's something strange in the neighborhood!

There’s something weird, and it doesn’t look good!

With the land of Mythris once more restored to its basic equilibrium, it seems something else might’ve returned on the cusp of such redemption. Across Mythris, during the darkest, dimmest hours of the night, members may catch what appears to be eyes or a silhouette peering down at them; they may catch a disfigured leg or a mutated horn glistening beneath the moonlight. What are these creatures, you might ask?

Cryptids.

What you might see may never be confirmed; what you might try to share with others may be met with a completely different story in its entirety; but something is for sure: souls across Mythris are seeing something.

It is time to extend the folklore and oral history of Mythris! For the Autumn Season, your characters may find, see, or spot various cryptid-like creatures throughout the land. These cryptids cannot change the landscape and will avoid contact with worldly beasts—they will flee if approached, but that does not mean you cannot observe them!  

Please, no experiments on these foreign creatures; they cannot be trapped nor contained (despite your best efforts).

If you see one, please describe it in this thread below! We would love for Vivarium to have its own cryptozoology compendium, filled with all the cool and interesting ideas you guys come up with! Who knows, maybe it will start its own shared oral history across the land!
