Dimitri's behavior is cool, perhaps a bit detached, but not necessarily unfriendly. His glance is neutral, and the man's smile is returned with a small one. He's not going to run up, though. People come this way all the time. "The lake's a portal. We're used to it." Well, some people still hated it, but Dimitri's done worrying about it. Maybe something terrible will come through the lake one day, and he'll regret being so casual about it, but for now? He's quite fine to ignore it.
"So long as you cause no harm, you're welcome here. If you need to sit for a while, you're welcome to." He adjusts the next rock. "And don't plunge back out into the lake. As far as we know, no one gets back to where they came from through it." There has to be a way off the island, of course, but Dimitri's never found it. Nor does he really wish to. There's no saying what sort of world exists beyond Vivarium's waters.
